When I was conceptualizing the cover of Twelve Moons, my heart and mind kept returning to a wonderful artist I met via Etsy years ago — Rhianna Wurman, who founded the charming and whimsical Ello Lovey.

Since then, Rhianna and I have had a magical and supportive working relationship. It has been such a joy to see my vision brought to life by Rhianna, and more than that, to have it infused with her love of nature and color, and her lighthearted yet soulful creations that call us to gaze in wonder at the natural world and the velvety sky above us.

Rhianna Wurman & Ello Lovey

Rhianna is an artist and illustrator based in Asheville, North Carolina, who founded her print and paper goods company Ello Lovey in 2011. She works from her home studio, where she creates illustrated prints and greeting cards, drawing inspiration from her natural surroundings, mountains, wildlife, and plant life, and the night sky. Ello Lovey is on Etsy as well as in brick and mortar stores across the U.S.

Rhianna works in traditional mediums like pen and ink, gouache, and pencils, but she has also embraced the world of creating digitally on her computer or tablet. She often takes her sketchbook and drawing tablet on hikes with her husband. Rhianna believes nature has the power to heal many things, as does art.
