Twelve Moons is an inter-generational conversation
for growing girls and women at all stages of life.
Twelve Moons is a lifelong calendar book and period tracker created by Jenny Austin to enable women, girls, and all menstruators to record their cycles and changes in their bodies, so that they can be the stewards of their own health and shine a spotlight on their well-being. This journal is both a nurturing tool and a valuable historical record that is meant to protect our health, honor all that we’ve been through, make space for our needs, and tune in to the messages our bodies are conveying each month.
Making Twelve Moons your own will:
help you notice your body’s cues, instincts, and synchronicities that can support your health and focus attention on imbalances you may need to address
serve as a practical and useful historical record so you can be your own health and well-being advocate
support tuning in to your bodies' needs and intuition
create a treasured self-care ritual of chronicling and noticing your body’s messages and imbalances, affirming that we are finally giving our bodies the due and care they deserve
Twelve Moons is a sacred keepsake to carry with us throughout our lives. It is designed to be nurturing, practical, and helpful. While the book is for individual use, I hope that Twelve Moons will be part of the powerful inter-generational conversations that are transforming and negating stigmas about women’s bodies and our complex and amazing stages and processes. I envision girls and women of all ages having conversations about our experiences and learning from one another. I hope that by using Twelve Moons, we signal to ourselves and young women that we are valuable and deserving of care and self-reflection.
It is my hope that everyone who uses Twelve Moons will know in their hearts that they have a perfect, luminous light inside of them that matters and needs to be heard. It is essential that we develop the instincts to care about our health and be our own advocates. Twelve Moons is a testimonial to our most sacred rhythms, elevating their significance in our lives. Committing to recording our own precious lives is a love letter to past, present, and future versions of ourselves.
